Little Learners is expanding!
We are pleased to confirm that we will be opening a new building on Monday 4th September 2017. The two new classrooms will complement our existing Nursery, enabling us to become a 68 place Nursery offering full and part time places between 7.30am and 6.00pm. Please take a look at our Little Learners Nursery expansion video:
If you or someone you know would like a Nursery place from September 2017 or earlier, please contact us to book an appointment for a visit on our tours.

How will the 30 hour extended entitlement work at Little Learners?
Little Learners will offer a variety of fully funded full day and half day sessions for families who qualify for the 30 hours extended entitlement from September 2017. We operate on an all year round basis and welcome children between 7.30am and 6.00pm for 50 weeks of the year. We are pleased to offer a stretch funding model, allowing families who are eligible for the 30 hours entitlement to access 22.5 funded hours per week, for 50 weeks of the year.
In our experience, using a stretch funding model gives families peace of mind that they will not receive inflated invoices during ‘school holidays’ and allows families to access the same high quality funded education all year round.
Still unsure? These frequently asked funding questions may help!
I work two days per week – can I use my extended entitlement to cover the cost of these two full days (8.00am-6.00pm)?
Yes. You could choose to use 10 hours of funding per day for two days per week. You can choose to provide your child with packed meals or purchase these from the school kitchen.
I work part time and don’t require full days. Can my child attend half days using their extended entitlement?
Yes. You can choose a variety of part time attendance patterns. A popular option using funding is four mornings (8.00am-1.00pm) which is fully funded using 20 hours per week. Another part time option is two mornings (8.00am-1.00pm) and two afternoons per week (1.00pm-6.00pm), this option also uses 20 hours per week. You can choose to provide your child with packed meals or purchase meals from the school kitchen.
I have a school aged child too, so I finish work at 2.30pm each day to collect them. Would I have to leave my younger child till 6.00pm?
Our Short Day option may suit you best. You could choose to use your funding over three Short Days (8.00am-3.30pm). This option would use your maximum entitlement of 22.5 hours per week. You can choose to provide your child with packed meals or purchase meals from the school kitchen.
My child already goes to a childminder; can they also join Little Learners?
Of course! We welcome children attending ‘split placements’. Please contact us for more information about claiming funding through more than one childcare provider.
I work full time but my child is looked after by grandparents for part of the week. I require 3 full days. How could I claim the funding?
We would encourage you to claim the maximum 22.5 hours per week, over three ‘Short Days’ (8.00am-3.30pm). You could then pay £4.20 per hour to increase your child’s attendance to Full Days (8.00am-6.00pm). You can choose to provide your child with packed meals or purchase meals from the school kitchen.
Please take a look at our Terms and Conditions 2017/18 in the Key Information tab for full details of our Early Years Education funding offers (both statutory and 30 hour extended entitlement). If you still have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
